How to setup 2factor authentication

  • Go to Settings
  • Open Two Factor Verification
  • Under Two Factor Verification select Enable
  • Enter your account password and select the Verify password button

  • A QR code and a secret key will be generated. Scan the QR code or manually enter the key on a mobile application like Authy or Google Authenticator.
  • The mobile app will then generate a temporary pin. Enter the pin in the PIN section then Save.

  • Configure then enter your PrivateMail account password and select Verify password.

  • Two Factor Verification will now be set up. You can disable and re-enable as needed.
