How to Generate an OpenPGP Key for External Email Accounts

With Private-mail you can send encrypted email through an external email service like Gmail or Outlook by adding the external email account and generating an OpenPGP key.

  1. To generate OpenPGP keys for an external email first, open settings and select OpenPGP. On the OpenPGP tab select the Generate new key button. 

 

       2. Finish generating the keys by using the drop-down arrow to select the external email, type in a secure password and choose a strong key length. When finished select generate.

3. A public and private key will now be available for your external email.
